The office of the Mayor and three (3) Councilor positions for the City of Coburg will be on the ballot at the November 3, 2026, General Election. The filing period for interested candidates begins on June 3, 2026. The filing process, including signature verification, must be completed by August 18, 2026, for elected incumbents and by August 25, 2026, for all other candidates. 

The upcoming vacancies have a term starting January 1, 2027, with a duration as described below: 

  • Mayor: Two-year term, currently held by Nancy Bell.
  • City Councilor: Four-year term, currently held by Cathy Engebretson.
  • City Councilor: Four-year term, currently held by John Lehmann.
  • City Councilor: Four-year term, currently held by Alan Wells.

To qualify as a candidate for Mayor or City Councilor for the City of Coburg, individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a qualified elector under Oregon state law.
  • Must have resided within the city limits of Coburg for at least one year immediately preceding the November 3, 2026, election.
  • Eligible candidates may file for a maximum of one vacant position per election cycle.
